Johnson Lambert Welcomes Rachel and Tim to the Partnership in 2022

Johnson Lambert LLP is pleased to announce that Rachel Ferguson, CPA and Tim Flaherty, CPA have been named Partners, effective January 1, 2022. Rachel and Tim embody leadership not only within the firm but also in the communities and the industries they serve.

Rachel joined the firm in 2010 and is a University of Florida alum. Focused on serving the insurance industry, she is a frequent leader of specialized training sessions at industry conferences and seminars, Johnson Lambert’s OnDemand Learning, as well as an instructor during internal firm trainings. She is involved in both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of CPAs. As an active member of the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association, Inc. (IASA) since 2010, Rachel has served as Director of Professional Development Education and is a member of various national volunteer committees including the Executive Education Committee and Women in Leadership Committee. Locally, she’s a Board member of the IASA Sunshine Chapter and served as president from 2017 to 2018. Furthermore, she received the IASA Chapter Volunteer Excellence Award and was featured in IASA’s First Annual “Top 30 Under 30” in 2016. Rachel was also selected for the 2021 Class of Emerging Leaders and invited to attend the Emerging Leaders Conference hosted by the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, the Insurance Careers Movement, and AM Best. Within the firm, Rachel is a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, and she works on various quality control initiatives. She also has been participating in the three-year Emerging Leaders Academy program conducted by Upstream Academy.

Tim joined Johnson Lambert in 2011 and serves all of the firm’s niches: insurance companies, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans. He is a recurrent speaker on audit and accounting topics at industry conferences and seminars. An Illinois State University Alum, Tim is a member of the AICPA, Association Forum of Chicagoland, Illinois CPA Society, and the Illinois CPA Society Young Professionals. From 2017 to 2018, he served as the Midwest Chapter President for IASA, where he also served as the Midwest Chapter Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. On a national level, Tim serves on the Professional Development Sub-committee and the Annual Conference Program Committee  He also has served as a member of the Illinois CPA Society’s Not-for-Profits Technical Committee. In addition, he is a co-founder and board member of LEADZ Networkers of Naperville. Similar to Rachel, Tim was selected for the 2021 Class of Emerging Leaders and invited to attend the Emerging Leaders Conference hosted by the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, the Insurance Careers Movement, and AM Best. Additionally, he was named on the 2019 “Emerging Leaders” list by the IASA.
