Johnson Lambert Celebrates Three Leadership Promotions in 2024

Johnson Lambert LLP is pleased to announce that Dustin Barnwell has been named Partner, Greg Daniel has been named Managing Director, and Courtney Kiss has been named Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2024.


Dustin joined the firm in 2012, after serving in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry team leader and vehicle commander. During his tenure at Johnson Lambert, he has played an active role in the firm’s mentorship program, serving as a mentor for three staff members. In addition, he participates in career development activities, leads a number of internal training sessions, assists with firm marketing initiatives, and engages in his local office’s community service projects.

Dustin has comprehensive experience with statutory accounting, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) GAAP reporting experience, and is a technical resource, advisor, and advocate for clients. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), North Carolina Association of CPAs, and Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA). Dustin attended the College of Charleston, where he earned his bachelor’s in accounting.


Greg started his Johnson Lambert career journey in 2013, when he joined our business advisory services practice. Since then, he has taken on various leadership roles within the firm. Greg serves as a leader in the firm’s DEI committee, and he is a frequent writer of articles discussing cybersecurity, IT governance, and system implementation guidance. He is a valuable asset to clients as he assists with understanding associated risks and potential mitigating controls, and works to assess financial impact and sufficiency of IT and IT-dependent business processes.

Greg is an active member of the AICPA, Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA), IASA, and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Greg earned both a bachelor’s degree in accounting information systems and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Bryant University.


Courtney joined the firm in 2014 as its marketing director. She has since served as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Growth & Development Officer. In her new role as Chief Operating Officer, she works closely with the firm’s Executive Committee and all partners and firm leaders to develop and execute the strategic plan, and she continues to guide strategy for firm’s practice and people growth. Passionate about organizational culture, continuous innovation, and professional development, she works to heighten the experience of the Johnson Lambert brand for both employees and clients.

Courtney is also the current president of the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM). She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego and her MBA from Loyola University Chicago.
