Andrea Wright Appointed to FASB Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee

Johnson Lambert Partner Andrea Wright has been appointed to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC), effective January 1, 2020.

The NAC, formed in October 2009, is a standing committee that, according to its charter “is expected to work closely with the FASB in an advisory capacity to ensure that perspectives from the not-for-profit (NFP) sector are effectively communicated to the FASB on a timely basis in connection with the development of financial accounting and reporting standards.” It comprises 15 to 20 members who “demonstrate a keen interest in and knowledge of financial accounting and reporting matters, experience working within the NFP sector, a commitment to improving financial reporting for users of financial statements, and the ability to provide input on a wide variety of financial reporting matters.”

“We are proud to have Andrea representing Johnson Lambert at the highest level of our profession. I am confident that her knowledge and perspective will make her a great contributor to the NAC throughout her four-year term,” Managing Partner John Prescott commented.

She has previously held positions within AICPA subcommittees, task forces, and expert panels as well as with the Illinois CPA Society.
